We would like to draw your attention to an innovative incontinence treatment we have introduced into our Practice.

The Neotonus magnetic incontinence therapy chair produces stimulation to vital muscles that maybe difficult to activate through manual pelvic floor exercise alone. MRI strength magnetic field pulses initiate muscle contractions. The technology is safe, painless and does not use any radiation (x-rays).

Patients remain fully clothed, no probes or electrodes, and remain comfortably seated for each 20 minute session. This treatment is conservative and painless. Normally patients receive 16 treatments. We recommend patients attend twice a week.

Elissa is not waiting for treatment, she is having treatment.

Chair therapy can be used to treat the following:

  • Urinary incontinence
  • Post-partum
  • Pre and post-surgery

Over 50,000 patients have been treated in Australia since the technology was introduced here in 2003.

Contraindications for treatment include pregnancy, cardiac pacemaker, implantable cardioverter defibrillator, metallic implants such as metal plates, copper IUD etc.

> As simple as sitting on a chair. Used for incontinence in both male and female. Often cures and always improves

Patients attend our practice for a consultation to assess their suitability prior to commencement of treatment.  Each treatment has a small out of pocket expense of around $13 or less if the Medicare Safety Net Threshold has been reached.

This non-invasive and painless approach is now being offered at both the Mt. Waverley and Berwick locations.
