At your initial consult with Dr Najjar, and depending on the type of appointment you have booked with him, whether that be for gynaecological reasons or for Obstetric care and management or if you choose to discuss fertility options available, Dr Najjar will take your general and obstetric history and perform an examination in most cases.  Please bring a valid referral letter from a General Practitioner or Specialist for Medicare claiming purposes.

For Obstetric patients, around 8 weeks is a good time for this first visit as you will generally be able to see your baby for the first time on the office ultrasound.  Dr Najjar will discuss routine investigations including Down Syndrome screening, NIPT.  If there has been any ultrasounds or blood tests done for this pregnancy, please bring them along with you to the appointment.

For Gynaecological consults, Dr Najjar will take down your general history and perform an examination with ultrasound in most cases.  Please bring along any previous pelvic ultrasound results or relating blood test results.

For Fertility consults, could the partner also please bring a valid referral as they may be required to have some testing done also.

For all consultations, please bring with you Ultrasound results (if you have any) with the printed report and your films and disc for reference.  Ultrasound reports may be recent or from a few years ago.

Any blood test results for yourself or your partner (for fertility consultations) and Semen Analysis results (for fertility consultations).
